Recruitment and flexible working concerns

Working from home is such a big topic right now, primarily because hybrid working is the most common form of work pattern in the UK currently. Clients I work with, tend to have  broad requirements such as to work 3 days a week. This arrangent is not contractual, meaning it can be changed according to business needs.

Many employers don’t specify which three days. In this situation how are you going to control who’s in and who’s not in?

Whether it is to cover annual leave of others, time to come together as a team for meetings or for a specific event or deadline it is important to know when your staff will be present. I’ve advised clients recently to change this process and have clear guidance in place to make it three set or agreed upon days.

So the first thing for me is how to manage this? Make sure you specify which days you want them in the office.
