One of the most rewarding aspects of being an independent HR professional is the flexibility to meet clients exactly where they are. Right now, I’m working in two very different capacities; both of which illustrate the value and adaptability of independent HR support.
For one client, I’m becoming embedded in the business as a fractional HR leader, working two days a week. I’m involved in strategic conversations and helping shape the long-term people strategy. I’m not a full-time hire, but I bring the consistency, expertise, and presence they need to grow with confidence without the cost of a full time hire.
With other clients, I step in as a HR consultant, supporting on specific projects like policy overhauls, culture assessments, or leadership development. These engagements are more defined in scope and timeline, allowing me to deliver high-impact outcomes without the need for ongoing involvement.
This dual approach lets me bring a mix of agility and depth to each engagement. It also means I can partner with businesses at different stages of growth; whether they need long-term strategic input or targeted project delivery.
If you’re a business in need of senior HR expertise but not quite ready for a full-time hire, or you have a key people project that needs momentum, there’s a model that fits. The beauty of being independent is that I can flex with you.
